Create Your Own Private Fishing Charter in Maine

You can trust your local captain to work with you to create the best private fishing charter possible.

What is our itinerary?
When you charter a boat, it’s all yours. Our local captains are avid fisherman and know all the best spots; we will create the perfect trip for you. Our boats Fifinella and Monterey are completely outfitted to be the perfect fishing boat for your group of up to six passengers.

If you’d like to add in sightseeing to see the wildlife, lighthouses, and natural beauty of Acadia National park, we are happy to accommodate that as well! The only thing that is required for a perfect trip is a brief conversation with your captain when you meet up about what you’d like to do.

What do we fish for?
Mackerel, cod, pollock, cunner, Acadian redfish, cusk, sculpin, and flounder are some of the species we target. Due to strict regulation most species are catch and release, your captain will know all limits and seasons.

What should I bring?

  • We provide all gear for fishing trips (you are welcome to bring your own rod)
  • You don’t need a license. We have life jackets for all sizes onboard.
  • Bring layers of warm clothing. Even if it’s hot on land, it can be up to 20 degrees cooler on the water.
  • Bring any food or drinks including alcohol you wish for the trip. There is a cooler on board, bring ice if you wish.
  • Other items you may want: camera, sunscreen, binoculars, hat, sunglasses.
  • You may bring your well behaved pet.

How do I find you?
We are located at 12 Little Island Way, in Bass Harbor, just 30 minutes from Bar Harbor, ME. Meet your captain down on the dock at the time of departure, our office may be unmanned and the boat may be returning from another trip.

What about the weather?
We will cancel your trip due to poor weather, we try to find an opening to reschedule but when that doesn’t work you will receive a full refund. Rain, fog, wind and swells are taken into consideration as we want you to have an enjoyable trip. Weather is often drastically different on the water than on land, trust your captain to make the call.

Is there a restroom on the boat?
There is a clean port-a-potty at our office and a Marine head on the boat (no sink).

Great Private Tour

"Once again, Trip Advisor comes through for me. Visiting from Mississippi with a family from New Mexico and a 14yo boy with cancer who had been granted a moose hunt by Catch a Dream Foundation. I booked the private charter wildlife tour for an extra activity. Captain Matt was outstanding, personable, and informative. We saw bald Eagles, two species of seals, cormorants, black guillemot, caspian terns, starfisl, seagulls, lighthouses, early explorer granite mining areas, and we fished and cought mackerel, pollock, and cod. All of this within a 2-hour tour. Clean vessel with updated equipment that includes an in closed cabin. We scored big on this find."

Family Friendly Fishing

"Took a four hour cruise for deep sea fishing, but on the way we saw a multitude of other wildlife, including ocean sun fish, puffin, seals, and a couple of gorgeous lighthouses. We had two children (ages 9 and 12) and they loved it. The fishing was awesome (they kept reeling them in)! Captain Sare was great- he was very laid back and totally flexible to customize our trip and was great with the kids. Great time out on the water and it provided for a meal (assorted fish dinner)."
